Dormer conversion

This Victorian semi-detached property was enhanced to become a three-bedroom property in Hurstpierpoint. To maximise the loft space a flat-roofed dormer was added.  The addition of a Pyramid roof light made a feature of the dormer and added natural light into the new stairwell.

The new addition created a great bedroom for the new occupant - a very happy eight year old boy!

The quad Velux light system opens onto views of the downs and open countryside. Again the natural light is maximised.

The original chimney stack remains to leave the open fire useable on the ground floor. The exposed brick chimney stack created a contemporary feature in the loft space.

A 6-week project completed on time.
