One of the most rewarding aspects about loft conversions is seeing a delighted client look out of their skylight or dormer for the first time, the views are usually spectacular. Being high up in the roof gives you a superb view of your surrounding area and it is a view that you would never have seen before unless you had been on the roof itself. Seeing the horizon gives an immediate feeling of calm and this is why most people choose to have their bedrooms in the loft. Waking each morning to a sunrise or watching the sun set is a breathtaking experience. Here are just a few of the views we have obtained by putting in a loft conversion.
Plenty of light
The quad Velux light system opens onto views of the downs and open countryside. Again the natural light is maximised.
Flat-roofed dormer
This Victorian semi-detached property was enhanced to become a three-bedroom property in Hurstpierpoint. To maximise the loft space a flat-roofed dormer was added.
Exposed brick chimney
The original chimney stack remains to leave the open fire useable on the ground floor. The exposed brick chimney stack created a contemporary feature in the loft space.
Pyramid roof light
The addition of a Pyramid roof light made a feature of the dormer and added natural light into the new stairwell.
